Odd

Unsettlingly, I have discovered a film blog whose author also signs posts 'ZC,' and whose links list overlaps some with mine (how did I not take note of this blog before?), and who even sort of "scooped" me on a Night Mail comment by a year and ten days: compare, my doppelganger's and mine. There is even a long post on Dumb and Dumber, which is something that I would love to one day do. I don't know if the author of this blog, Precious Bodily Fluids, has ever noticed my existence, but here on out I shall traverse the blogosphere with a mild, but augmented, sense of unease ...

I did notice your existence but found it likewise disconcerting. After hiding in the brush over the last year or two, it's liberating to be discovered. And incidentally, I was recently thinking about doing something on allusions to film history in Zoolander, but I see you've beaten me to the punch. I look forward to visiting here from now on without too much fear of the uncanny.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you, Zach, that I stumbled on that D&D post via ... a different avenue than usual and was, momentarily, extremely confused.

Dear Double,

If I could, I would use this space to do theremin-like psionic-occult noises. Creepy.

Eric - ha! (I'm glad you're still checking this blog. I think I've lost 95% of my audience over the past year or two.)

Zach:

I still look at your blog sometimes, even though I hardly ever post. Perhaps you could increase your audience with a one-two punch of uploaded videos. The first video would be a sex tape; and, the second would be a video of you crying about how the first video was the "worst mistake of you life" and that now you have now found Jesus.

Anonymous, the sex tape would not draw the readers I want though! Even better than sexy videos on a film blog, however, is a contrarian take on a recent, really popular, well-liked film. What's going to be this holiday season's equivalent of The Dark Knight, I wonder?

I meant that your second crying video would be the "contrarian take on a recent, really popular, well-liked film."

By the way, this is Greg. Apparently I post so little here that I forgot to add in my name.

Go for AVATAR, Zach.
